Outside 50 mt Range

OUTSIDE RANGE OFFICER TO MONITOR RANGE AND SURROUNDINGsAT ALL TIMES WHEN RANGE IS IN USE DO NOT CONDUCT OTHER ACTIVITIES (ie. USE OF SPOTTING SCOPE) WHEN SHOOTING IS IN PROGRESS AS THIS WILL DETRACT YOUR ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE RANGENO ENTRY IS PERMITTED TO THE RANGE WHEN IN USE THAT ALSO MEANSNO ENTRY TO THE REAR OF THE FIRING POINT THROUGH THEPEDESTRIAN GATEMEMBERS AND RANGE OFFICERS FOUND CONTRAVENING THIS RULEWILL HAVE DISCIPLINARY PR0CEDURES INSTIGATED UPON THEMPOSSIBLE DISMISSAL FROM THE CLUB YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

All types of .22LR rimfire rifles can be used on the range in prone, kneeling, sitting and standing positions.There is a restriction on high velocity ammunition (supersonic) to restrict noise in deference to our Neighbours.Rapid fire and volley fire is also prohibited for the same reason.

OUTSIDE RANGE

RANGE OFFICER COMMANDSTHESE COMMANDS ARE TO BE USED BY THE RCO OR RO INCHARGE OF THE RANGE"DETAIL WILL COMMENCE IN ONE MINUTE"Gate closed all shooters proceed to range"YOU ARE CLEARED TO GO FORWARD"Shooters can mount their targets"SHOOTING WILL COMMENCE IN ONE MINUTE"The line will prepare to shoot"YOU ARE CLEARED TO SHOOT"The shooting line is now hot"STOP SHOOTING; MAGAZINES OUT, RETRACTBOLT, BREECH FLAGS IN AND STAND BACK"The range officer inspects all the firearms to insure they are safe. No shooteris allowed to go near his or her firearm after the above command has beengrven."CLEAR TO GO FORWARD"Targets can now be changed or a new detail takes place. The range orders arethen repeated as above for the next detail.RCOs should make everyone aware of the range commands particularly in the earlystages of using the system. This is normally done in the minutes prior to the detailcommencing when all shooters are in position getting ready. A brief run through is allthat is required for instance" I will give you one minutes notice prior to the Shooting willcommence command and 'one minutes notice' prior to 'Stop shooting' command. Onhearing the 'Stop shooting' command you will immediately stop shooting, 'removemagazine', 'retract the bolt' and 'insert breach flag' and 'stand back' from your firingposition (no one touches any of their equipment) until all weapons have been checked. Iwill then give the command' Clear to go forward' when you may change target or leavethe firing point to allow the next detail to ready itselfIn the event of an emergency the command 'STOP, STOP, STOP' will be given, allshooters will stop firing immediately. Weapons will then be made safe under thecommand of the RCO"
